M: Well, Mom, I bought shoes for 35 and spent 10 on Sally’s present.
W: And the rest?
M: I used. it for bus fare.

W: It’s too hot to stay home. Let's go to the mountains.
M: Sounds great, but Jim's called in sick.
W: So?
M: I've got to go to the office and fill in for him.
